Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will be conducting the CAT in 2009 and CAT Advertisement will appear in leading newspapers on Sunday, 30 August 2009.
How and when to apply for CAT 2009

You don't need to buy the CAT Bulliten from any bank, but a prospective candidate can buy a scratch-voucher from the designated bank branches, and, later registers online for CAT 2009.





CAT 2009 IMPORTANT DATES

Sale of vouchers starts on Wednesday, 9 September 2009 at designated bank branches and their associate outlets. The sale ends on Thursday, 1 October 2009.

Once you buy the scratch voucher, Online registration for CAT 2009 will also begin on Wednesday, 9 September 2009 and end on Thursday, 1 October 2009. Instructions on access to online registration will be given in the voucher, and, detailed registration instructions will be on the CAT IIM website.
CAT 2009 ONLINE EXAM DATES

CAT will be held during the period Saturday, 28 November 2009 – Monday, 7 December 20009. Yes, you can choose a test date, session (morning/afternoon), and venue across thirty centres (cities) all over India, subject to availability.

Eligibility

For sl no. 1 - MD or DNB Pediatrics from a University recognized by the MCI

For sl no. 2 to 4 - M.D. or DNB General Medicine/Pediatrics/ Pharmacology from a University recognized by the Medical Council of India






For sl no. 5 - M.D. or DNB. General Medicine from a University recognized by the Medical Council of India. 3 out of 6 (six) seats for this fellowship course will be allotted to eligible candidates sponsored by Government/Autonomous/Public Sector Hospitals, if available.

Age limit: 35 years as on 1st January, 2009. The upper age limit is not applicable to Service candidates. Selected candidates will be paid emoluments, as applicable to the post of Senior Resident, admissible under the Rules.

Application Procedure: The prospectus and application form (2 pages) for the afore mentioned courses can be downloaded from JIPMER website: www.jipmer.edu.in. Filled-in application with due signature, finger print and photograph, enclosing a M.I.C.R. bank draft for Rs. 1000/- (One thousand only) drawn in favour of ‘Accounts Officer, JIPMER’ payable at Pondicherry (U.T.) shall be posted to Professor (Academic), JIPMER, Puducherry-605006 on or before 12.09.2009

The relevant page of the application for downloading from JIPMER website will function from 9.00 a.m. of 15.08.2009 to 4.00 p.m. of 12.09.2009. Candidates are required to apply for only one course

• No pre-printed applications either by postal request from Academic section or by cash from any bank are available for these admissions notified above.

• Applications submitted/received after the due date will not be considered under any circumstances

Hall tickets: Candidates are required to collect their Hall tickets for the entrance examination personally or through a letter of authority from the Academic section on 19.02.2009 from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. The hall ticket will not be dispatched by post.

Date of entrance examination: 20.9.2009 Sunday 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.

Stage 1: Entrance examination M.C.Q. type (marks 400)

Stage 2: Interview (marks 80) candidates who secure 50% of marks or above in stage 1, will be merit listed. Five candidates for every one seat in the discipline (1:5) will be called for interview through display in JIPMER website and Institute notice board

Date of Interview: 22.09.2009 Tuesday 10.00 a.m. onwards

National Academy of Agricultural Research Management

All India Competitive Examination for grant of ICAR-SRF (PGS) leading to a Ph.D. degree in Agriculture and Allied Science subjects in the Academic Session 2009-10
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the grant of ICAR-Senior Research Fellowship (PGS) for pursuing Ph.D. degree in the field of Agriculture and allied Sciences for 2009-10. The award of ICAR-SRF (PGS) is for three years. The candidates should have Master’s Degree in the concerned discipline, with 55% marks or its equivalent OGPA for General and OBC categories; 50% marks or its equivalent OGPA for SC, ST, and PH categories, from any recognized university in India and abroad. The candidates appearing in the final semester would also be eligible provided they get their applications certified and forwarded through the Registrar of the concerned University where the candidate is pursuing their PG degree



The candidates must not have attained the age of 30 years for General, 33 years for OBC, 35 years for SC, ST and PH categories and 45 years for in-service candidates (regular employees) of ICAR, SAUs and other organizations dealing with agricultural sector. The crucial date for determining the age limit for all categories will be the date of examination. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to check his/her eligibility for admission before applying. NAARM will not be held responsible for refusing ICAR SRF (PGS) to any non-eligible candidate.

The examination will be conducted on 20.12.2009 (Sunday).

The information bulletin with application forms will be available on our website (http://www.naarm.ernet.in, http://icar.naarm.ernet.in, and in ICAR website http://www.icar.org.in between 20.08.2009 and 30.09.2009.

The candidates can download application form from the web, fill it up and send it along with the demand draft of Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PH candidates. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of ‘ICAR Unit NAARM Account’, payable at Hyderabad and on the backside of the DD, name and address of the candidate must be written.

The last date for the receipt of filled in applications at the office of the Controller of Examination, National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500407: 30.09.2009.

The last date for the candidates from remote areas viz., Assam, Meghalaya, Arunanchal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Laddakh Division of J&K State, Lahaul and Spiti districts and Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep: 07.10.2009

Applications received after the last date will be rejected. The Academy shall not be held responsible for non-receipt of applications within the time schedule due to postal delay or any other reason for delay. For all disputes relating to the conduct of this examination or any matter connected with this advertisement, the decision of the Director, NAARM, will be final.
