Endhiran: Rajinikanth's last film?
The whole of South India is abuzz over the rumour that director S. Shankar's forthcoming Tamil science fiction fiilm Endhiran would be super star Rajinikanth’s last film. But why? Because the actor has reportedly finally decided to enter politics!
This speculations began after Rajinikanth did not show any interest in a sequel to the blockbuster Chandiramukhi when he was approached by director P. Vasu. Rajinikanth reportedly replied: "We’ll look into it after the release of Endhiran," sources said. Moreover, the superstar’s elder brother Sathya Narayana Rao has openly stated that the actor would probably make his entry into politics after Endhiran.

This speculations began after Rajinikanth did not show any interest in a sequel to the blockbuster Chandiramukhi when he was approached by director P. Vasu. Rajinikanth reportedly replied: "We’ll look into it after the release of Endhiran," sources said. Moreover, the superstar’s elder brother Sathya Narayana Rao has openly stated that the actor would probably make his entry into politics after Endhiran.

How and when to apply for CAT 2009
You don't need to buy the CAT Bulliten from any bank, but a prospective candidate can buy a scratch-voucher from the designated bank branches, and, later registers online for CAT 2009.
Sale of CAT 2009 vouchers: The CAT 2009 vouchers can be obtained from branches of Axis Bank and their associated outlets during the period from Wednesday, 9 September 2009 to Thursday, 01 October 2009 for Rs. 1400/- (Rs. 700/- for SC/ST candidates). Please note that a candidate needs to buy only one CAT 2009 voucher irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying to. Note that the voucher must be bought only in the name of the candidate as it appears in the school leaving certificate. If the name has been changed due to events such as marriage, the candidate must show the relevant document such as a marriage certificate and submit a photocopy at the time of the test, interview and at the time of joining a programme. SC and ST candidates must show a copy of their SC/ST Certificates at the time of obtaining the CAT 2009 voucher from the Axis Bank branches.
Voucher once sold cannot be refunded under any circumstance including but not limited to loss of voucher, inability to read voucher number due to mishandling of the voucher by candidate, candidate being ineligible for taking CAT, CAT not being a pre-requisite for a programme, and rejection of candidate registration due to incomplete and/or wrong information. If the voucher is lost, voucher number is not readable due to mishandling of the voucher by candidate, and/or candidate thinks he/she has made mistake(s) in filling-out information during the online registration, then the candidate can purchase a new voucher and re-register online

Step 1: Registration for Admission Test – XAT 2010
Candidate interested in taking XAT has to first register for XAT at www.xlri.edu. After successfully completing the registration, the candidate has to download the XAT Pay-in-slip. A non-refundable amount of Rs. 800/- is to be tendered along with the pay-in-slip to obtain XAT bulletin 2010 from select branches of Axis Bank (listed below). The detachable form given inside the bulletin is to be filled-up and sent to XAT office along with the XLRI’s copy of XAT Pay-in slip (that was signed and sealed by Axis Bank at the time of buying the bulletin).
Alternatively, one can register for XAT after obtaining a demand draft (DD). Eligibility: Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline from a recognized university or deemed university in India/abroad. He/she should be employed in a full-time job and must have at least five years of relevant managerial experience as on March 31, 2010 after completion of graduation
Four year Fellow Programme in Management
Eligibility: Candidate should have a Master’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university or deemed university in India/abroad with three years of work experience or CA/ICWA/CS with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) and three years of work experience or a BE/B.Tech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) and four years of work experience

Emoluments : The total starting emolument of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at Metro like Mumbai will be around Rs. 8000/- per month for Graduates inclusive of D.A. and other allowances at the current rate. Allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting.
The new recruits must have flair for marketing and will be required to make customer calls and provide banking services, advisory services and cross sell products etc. inside and outside Bank premises. 3. Educational Qualification (as on 01.10.2009)
A. “Minimum 12th standard (10+2) pass or equivalent qualification with a minimum of aggregate 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD/XS).

Note :
Candidates who have not passed XIIth standard Examination but have passed Diploma course after Xth standard are eligible for the captioned recruitment provided:
i) Diploma Course passed must be a full time course with a minimum of Two Years Duration (Diploma course through correspondence are not eligible).
ii) The Diploma course should be recognized/approved by the State Board of Technical Education of the concerned state.
iii) The percentage of marks in XIIth std/Diploma course shall be arrived at by dividing the marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects by aggregate maximum marks of all subjects irrespective of optional/additional optional subjects studied. Similarly percentage of marks in Graduation shall also be arrived at by dividing the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in all the subjects by
maximum marks of the course (both for pass/Honours course) for all the years of the course.

CM YS Rajsekhar Reddy Profile
Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy (8 July 1949 – 2 September 2009), popularly known as YSR, was the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.[2] He represented the Indian National Congress party. He was elected to the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Lok Sabha from the Kadapa constituency for four terms and to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for five terms from the Pulivendula constituency.[3] In 2003 he undertook a three month long paadayaatra, or walking tour, across several districts in Andhra Pradesh.[4] He led his party to victory in the next general and assembly elections held in 2004. On September 2, 2009 a helicopter carrying YSR went missing in the Nallamala forest area. On the morning of 3 September, 2009, media agencies reported that the helicopter had been found crashed on top of Rudrakonda Hill, 40 nautical miles from Kurnool. This was later confirmed by the Prime Minister's office and all five persons aboard were pronounced dead at the scene.[5][6][7]
Early life
Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy was born in a Christian family at Jammalamadugu Mission Hospital near Pulivendula, Andhra Pradesh to Y S Raja Reddy and Jayamma . His schooling was in Bellary where his father was a contractor for irrigation canal projects. He graduated with a degree in medical science from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College (MRMC) Gulbarga University, Karnataka and completed his House Surgeonship at S.V. Medical College, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. He was the elected leader of the House Surgeon's Association at S.V. Medical College, Tirupati.
Career
Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy practiced medicine for sometime in his native Kadapa District. The hospital his father built for him at Pulivendula is still running. His family also built and ran a degree college and a polytechnic college at Pulivendula which was later handed over to the Loyola Group of Educational Institutions. Another junior college at Simhadripuram, a small town in the vicinity of Pulivendula, is run by his family.
Political career
From 1980 to 1983 he was a minister holding important portfolios related to Rural Development, Medical Health and Education. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Kadapa constituency four times and was elected to the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly six times from Pulivendula constituency. Reddy was the leader of the opposition in the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly for five years. As an MLA he was influential in obtaining water from the Tungabhadra River for the Pulivendula Branch Canal (PBC) and fought for projects like RTPP (Rayalaseema Thermal Power Plant) at Muddanur and Proddatur Milk Foods and its ancillaries.
APCC President
He was President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) twice: 1983–1985 and 1998–2000. As the president of APCC, Reddy rendered yeoman services to the party in regaining the faith and trust of the masses. From 1999 to 2004 he was the Leader of Opposition in the eleventh state assembly.
Paadayaatra
During mid-summer of 2003, he led a 1400 km long paadayaatra (journey by foot), covering some of the backward areas in the state to understand the ground realities and living conditions of the people there. As a novice in the legislature, Reddy rallied all the Congress MLAs from the Rayalaseema region and led an indefinite hunger strike demanding solution to the water crisis. He also led a paadayaatra from Lepakshi to Pothireddipadu in Kurnool district.
Chief Minister
He was elected as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh by the Legislature party of the Indian National Congress after they later won 185 seats of the Legislative Assembly in the May 2004 elections. He has initiated a variety of programs that influence the Economy of Andhra Pradesh including free power supply for farmers, Jalayagnam – a large scale program to construct more than 70 pending irrigation projects in the state to improve irrigation facilities to the farmers, and an increase in the minimum support price for rice. Prominent among other programs include the controversial Rajiv Arogya Shree Program[8] – a health insurance scheme for rural masses where the government pays the entire price of any surgery and does not require people to pay any premium, Pavala Vaddi – a program that provides loans to people at 3% per year so as to encourage them to take up small scale businesses and entrepreneurship primarily targeted at rural women, Indiramma illu – a program for construction of houses for the rural masses by charging a small amount and the government the remaining amount, a Rs 2/Kg rice scheme,[9] reimbursement of full college fees for backward sections, reservations for minorities, and a huge loan waiver program for the farmers.
Election 2009
Reddy's major campaign slogan for the 2009 election was "Development and the credibility ".
In the elections, Reddy's party (INC) secured the required majority in the assembly (156 seats) and also won 33 seats in parliament.
Reddy was sworn in as the chief minister for the term of 2009–2014 on 20 May 2009. The ceremony was held in Hyderabad's Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium and attended by a crowd of around 20,000 people.[10]
Controversies
Opposition parties allege corruption in the implementation of Reddy's programs as well as in various other actions of both Reddy and his family. In 2008, Telugu Desam Party leader N. Chandrababu Naidu accused Reddy and his family of illegally amassing income through their companies Sandur Power Company, Jagathi Publications and Bharathi Cement Corporation. He also alleged that Reddy's sons were involved in the Satyam scandal.[11][12] Also, the allotment of 487 acres of land in March 2007 to Raghuram Cements,[13] which had the son of Reddy as one of its directors, was criticised by the Telugu Desam Party.[14] The surrender of more than 1600 acres by Reddy in December 2006 was also criticised by the opposition parties who demanded Reddy's prosecution and resignation from his post.[15] Naidu also called for Reddy's resignation after a 2007 Khammam police shooting resulted in eight deaths.[16]
"I not only have 614 acres at Idupulapaya estate in Vempalli mandal. I also have another 1,000 acres in Kundur village in Rajampet between Renugunta and Kadapa town in Kadapa district. This land is unregistered, and was bought by my father (Y S Raja Reddy) as he was interested in growing trees and creating a green belt," Y S Rajasekara Reddy said during his intervention in a debate on 18th December 2006 regarding the controversy about illegal occupation of assigned land. Interestingly, he revised the quantum of land that his family possesses in Idupulapaya from 715 acres.
Quoting rules, Y S Rajasekara Reddy maintained that no penal action can be initiated against him as he had surrendered the 310.57 acres on his own. The opposition, however, including the TDP, the CPM, TRS and BJP said the exemption charges quoted by YSR was applicable to officers only and that he should resign and face prosecution.
Y S Rajasekara Reddy was also accused by Hindu religious bodies and nationalist groups of promoting Christian agenda and pushing Christian evangelism. His son-in-law is a Pastor. Y S Rajasekara Reddy got his Christian step brother to become the Managing Trustee of the TTD (Tirupathi Tirumala Devasthanam) board, where after the devotees donations received by the temples were channeled to Mosques and Churches.
Y S Rajasekara Reddy got auctioned land/estates belonging to a number of temples.
Y S Rajasekara Reddy started providing Rs. 20, 000 per person subsidy for Christians visiting Jerusalem and Bethlehem. He launched a 5% reservation for Muslims - against the provisions of Indian Constitution. He also promoted reservation for Dalit Christians, a cause espoused by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi as well - as a backdoor means to opening floodgates of Christian conversion.
Personal life
Reddy was married to Vijaya Lakshmi.[17] They have a son, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, a politician,[18] and a daughter, Sharmila.[19]
Death
Y. S Rajasekhara Reddy's Bell 430 helicopter went missing on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 9:35 am. Begumpet and Shamshabad Air Traffic controllers lost contact with the chopper at 9:02 am while it was passing through the dense Nallamala forest area.[20] The Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, P. Ramakanth Reddy, said that bad weather had forced the helicopter off-course.[21][22] Although the sparsely populated forest area is considered to be stronghold of the outlawed Naxal communist insurgents, the National Security Advisor of India ruled out the possibility of the Naxals bringing down the helicopter.[23]
The state government of Andhra Pradesh and the government of India launched one of the largest search and rescue operations in the history of the country. The state's security officials mentioned that bad weather was hindering the search and rescue efforts.[24] The Home Ministry of India dispatched 5000 CRPF soldiers for the operation[25][26] while the Defence Ministry of India ordered the Indian Air Force to comb the area using low altitude planes and the Sukhoi-30MKI equipped with thermal imaging system.[6][27] In addition, police personnel from six districts were involved in the ground search. Andhra Pradesh's anti-Naxal forces were also deployed in the area, owing to their familiarity with the jungle terrain there. Local tribal residents from this part of the state assisted with the search mission. Patrol parties also combed the Krishna river for the remains of the helicopter.[28] ISRO's RISAT-2 satellite was also deployed to search the area,[29] but the 41 high-resolution images of the area were unable to trace the helicopter.[30]
The wreckage of the helicopter was finally spotted by IAF Dhruv more than 24 hours after contact was lost with Reddy's Bell 430 helicopter.[31] The Indian Prime Minister's Office confirmed the chopper's crash on the morning of 3 September and the death of all aboard, including Reddy, his special secretary P Subrahmanyam, chief security officer ASC Wesley, Group Captain SK Bhatia and Captain MS Reddy.[32][33] The Director General of Police said that the bodies of Reddy and others were charred beyond recognition and had to be identified on the basis of clothing.[34] The autopsy of all the bodies was carried out at Kurnool Medical College.[35]
Reddy's body will be buried on September 4 at Pulivendula in Kadapa district.[36] The government of India will give Reddy a state funeral and Indian national flag will fly at half mast across Delhi and other Indian state capitals in tribute to Reddy.[37]
Konjeti Rosaiah is the caretaker Chief Minister;[38] a hunt is on in the Congress party for the next Chief Minister.[39]

Early life
Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy was born in a Christian family at Jammalamadugu Mission Hospital near Pulivendula, Andhra Pradesh to Y S Raja Reddy and Jayamma . His schooling was in Bellary where his father was a contractor for irrigation canal projects. He graduated with a degree in medical science from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College (MRMC) Gulbarga University, Karnataka and completed his House Surgeonship at S.V. Medical College, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. He was the elected leader of the House Surgeon's Association at S.V. Medical College, Tirupati.
Career
Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy practiced medicine for sometime in his native Kadapa District. The hospital his father built for him at Pulivendula is still running. His family also built and ran a degree college and a polytechnic college at Pulivendula which was later handed over to the Loyola Group of Educational Institutions. Another junior college at Simhadripuram, a small town in the vicinity of Pulivendula, is run by his family.
Political career
From 1980 to 1983 he was a minister holding important portfolios related to Rural Development, Medical Health and Education. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Kadapa constituency four times and was elected to the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly six times from Pulivendula constituency. Reddy was the leader of the opposition in the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly for five years. As an MLA he was influential in obtaining water from the Tungabhadra River for the Pulivendula Branch Canal (PBC) and fought for projects like RTPP (Rayalaseema Thermal Power Plant) at Muddanur and Proddatur Milk Foods and its ancillaries.
APCC President
He was President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) twice: 1983–1985 and 1998–2000. As the president of APCC, Reddy rendered yeoman services to the party in regaining the faith and trust of the masses. From 1999 to 2004 he was the Leader of Opposition in the eleventh state assembly.
Paadayaatra
During mid-summer of 2003, he led a 1400 km long paadayaatra (journey by foot), covering some of the backward areas in the state to understand the ground realities and living conditions of the people there. As a novice in the legislature, Reddy rallied all the Congress MLAs from the Rayalaseema region and led an indefinite hunger strike demanding solution to the water crisis. He also led a paadayaatra from Lepakshi to Pothireddipadu in Kurnool district.
Chief Minister
He was elected as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh by the Legislature party of the Indian National Congress after they later won 185 seats of the Legislative Assembly in the May 2004 elections. He has initiated a variety of programs that influence the Economy of Andhra Pradesh including free power supply for farmers, Jalayagnam – a large scale program to construct more than 70 pending irrigation projects in the state to improve irrigation facilities to the farmers, and an increase in the minimum support price for rice. Prominent among other programs include the controversial Rajiv Arogya Shree Program[8] – a health insurance scheme for rural masses where the government pays the entire price of any surgery and does not require people to pay any premium, Pavala Vaddi – a program that provides loans to people at 3% per year so as to encourage them to take up small scale businesses and entrepreneurship primarily targeted at rural women, Indiramma illu – a program for construction of houses for the rural masses by charging a small amount and the government the remaining amount, a Rs 2/Kg rice scheme,[9] reimbursement of full college fees for backward sections, reservations for minorities, and a huge loan waiver program for the farmers.
Election 2009
Reddy's major campaign slogan for the 2009 election was "Development and the credibility ".
In the elections, Reddy's party (INC) secured the required majority in the assembly (156 seats) and also won 33 seats in parliament.
Reddy was sworn in as the chief minister for the term of 2009–2014 on 20 May 2009. The ceremony was held in Hyderabad's Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium and attended by a crowd of around 20,000 people.[10]
Controversies
Opposition parties allege corruption in the implementation of Reddy's programs as well as in various other actions of both Reddy and his family. In 2008, Telugu Desam Party leader N. Chandrababu Naidu accused Reddy and his family of illegally amassing income through their companies Sandur Power Company, Jagathi Publications and Bharathi Cement Corporation. He also alleged that Reddy's sons were involved in the Satyam scandal.[11][12] Also, the allotment of 487 acres of land in March 2007 to Raghuram Cements,[13] which had the son of Reddy as one of its directors, was criticised by the Telugu Desam Party.[14] The surrender of more than 1600 acres by Reddy in December 2006 was also criticised by the opposition parties who demanded Reddy's prosecution and resignation from his post.[15] Naidu also called for Reddy's resignation after a 2007 Khammam police shooting resulted in eight deaths.[16]
"I not only have 614 acres at Idupulapaya estate in Vempalli mandal. I also have another 1,000 acres in Kundur village in Rajampet between Renugunta and Kadapa town in Kadapa district. This land is unregistered, and was bought by my father (Y S Raja Reddy) as he was interested in growing trees and creating a green belt," Y S Rajasekara Reddy said during his intervention in a debate on 18th December 2006 regarding the controversy about illegal occupation of assigned land. Interestingly, he revised the quantum of land that his family possesses in Idupulapaya from 715 acres.
Quoting rules, Y S Rajasekara Reddy maintained that no penal action can be initiated against him as he had surrendered the 310.57 acres on his own. The opposition, however, including the TDP, the CPM, TRS and BJP said the exemption charges quoted by YSR was applicable to officers only and that he should resign and face prosecution.
Y S Rajasekara Reddy was also accused by Hindu religious bodies and nationalist groups of promoting Christian agenda and pushing Christian evangelism. His son-in-law is a Pastor. Y S Rajasekara Reddy got his Christian step brother to become the Managing Trustee of the TTD (Tirupathi Tirumala Devasthanam) board, where after the devotees donations received by the temples were channeled to Mosques and Churches.
Y S Rajasekara Reddy got auctioned land/estates belonging to a number of temples.
Y S Rajasekara Reddy started providing Rs. 20, 000 per person subsidy for Christians visiting Jerusalem and Bethlehem. He launched a 5% reservation for Muslims - against the provisions of Indian Constitution. He also promoted reservation for Dalit Christians, a cause espoused by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi as well - as a backdoor means to opening floodgates of Christian conversion.
Personal life
Reddy was married to Vijaya Lakshmi.[17] They have a son, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, a politician,[18] and a daughter, Sharmila.[19]
Death
Y. S Rajasekhara Reddy's Bell 430 helicopter went missing on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 9:35 am. Begumpet and Shamshabad Air Traffic controllers lost contact with the chopper at 9:02 am while it was passing through the dense Nallamala forest area.[20] The Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, P. Ramakanth Reddy, said that bad weather had forced the helicopter off-course.[21][22] Although the sparsely populated forest area is considered to be stronghold of the outlawed Naxal communist insurgents, the National Security Advisor of India ruled out the possibility of the Naxals bringing down the helicopter.[23]
The state government of Andhra Pradesh and the government of India launched one of the largest search and rescue operations in the history of the country. The state's security officials mentioned that bad weather was hindering the search and rescue efforts.[24] The Home Ministry of India dispatched 5000 CRPF soldiers for the operation[25][26] while the Defence Ministry of India ordered the Indian Air Force to comb the area using low altitude planes and the Sukhoi-30MKI equipped with thermal imaging system.[6][27] In addition, police personnel from six districts were involved in the ground search. Andhra Pradesh's anti-Naxal forces were also deployed in the area, owing to their familiarity with the jungle terrain there. Local tribal residents from this part of the state assisted with the search mission. Patrol parties also combed the Krishna river for the remains of the helicopter.[28] ISRO's RISAT-2 satellite was also deployed to search the area,[29] but the 41 high-resolution images of the area were unable to trace the helicopter.[30]
The wreckage of the helicopter was finally spotted by IAF Dhruv more than 24 hours after contact was lost with Reddy's Bell 430 helicopter.[31] The Indian Prime Minister's Office confirmed the chopper's crash on the morning of 3 September and the death of all aboard, including Reddy, his special secretary P Subrahmanyam, chief security officer ASC Wesley, Group Captain SK Bhatia and Captain MS Reddy.[32][33] The Director General of Police said that the bodies of Reddy and others were charred beyond recognition and had to be identified on the basis of clothing.[34] The autopsy of all the bodies was carried out at Kurnool Medical College.[35]
Reddy's body will be buried on September 4 at Pulivendula in Kadapa district.[36] The government of India will give Reddy a state funeral and Indian national flag will fly at half mast across Delhi and other Indian state capitals in tribute to Reddy.[37]
Konjeti Rosaiah is the caretaker Chief Minister;[38] a hunt is on in the Congress party for the next Chief Minister.[39]
