The Ranchi University is situated in Jharkhand state of India. The University was established in 1960 and has its headquarters in Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand. More than 90,000 students are studying in the University and from its affiliated colleges. It has a central library with approximately 150,000 books for the academic needs of the students.
There are 35 constituent colleges and 29 affiliated colleges of Ranchi University. The colleges under Ranchi University offers courses in Medical, Engineering, Management, Science, Arts and Law streams.
